Remembering that Evan lived. He had far more to give to the world, but was taken away at the age of 53, in his prime. It was a life well lived.
Now 5 years later, we reach across the world, to family, friends and colleagues who knew and loved him, to continue a legacy in his memory.
The EVision Project 2020 will distribute funds to two beneficiaries namely:
1) The Kwale Eye Centre in Kenya. We will fund screening trips into the remote villages, where eye clinic staff assess the patients and advise them to return with the staff to the clinic for their life-changing cataract surgery and treatment.
They are then returned to their homes and this completes the trip. Some see their grandchildren for the first time with restored sight. This is all funded by our donors.
2) The St. John Eye Hospital at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in South Africa, (where Evan trained in eye
